Lovely barn conversion. Clean, cosy and we appreciated the luxury bed linen and warm duvets. Beautiful scenery and a great walk up to the top of the mountain from the front door.

This beautiful 400 yr old barn conversion is perfect for a rustic break away in the heart of the black mountain. I went with two teen boys who hugely benefited from being in the remote location. We went mountain biking straight out the front door up the black mountain. We had a wonderful stay in Hillside Barn. The location was perfect - remote and with walks from the doorstep. The views were lovely and the lack of light pollution meant that the stars were amazing - we saw the Perseid meteor shower too. The cottage was comfortable and homely and we had a restful stay. A beautiful, fairy tale barn off the beaten track packed with quirky features. We loved exploring the woods beyond the car port and the whole setting is a dream for children to have adventures in. A fantastic barn; we loved the fairy light walkway to upstairs and the setting with great walks rom the door..

The cottage location was fantastic for us as we have a very active young cocker spaniel. We loved the quirky cottage with it's outdoor access to the bedrooms although it would have been prudent to check the "potty" before use as it had a crack in it and hence leaked!! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our week at Hillside Barn.
