The place offers a return to the quietest most real part of oneself, a return to naturalness, on the edge of wilderness, far from the maddening modern crowd. We had a lovely week at this cottage in late summer. It was very artistically decorated so if that sort of attention to interior design is important to you, you will be happy here. Having to go outside to access the upstairs bedrooms was made special too by the fairy lights that came on to light your way to bed. The large tree that overhung the outRead moreside stairs kept raindrops off. Waking in the morning and opening the bedroom door to see the green canopy of the tree was very special. Hide

Great location if you really want to get away. Peaceful & quite. The bedrooms are accessed via steps to the side of the property which means you have to go outside, but if you want something different and enjoy a bit of fresh air then Hillside Barn is a great place to say. The Barn itself is so cosy and has all the equipment and facilities a familyRead more would need. Theres also a sauna on site. We stayed with our 2 and 10 year old and had Friends visit us. The towels and bedding were great quality Hide

Lovely barn conversion. Clean, cosy and we appreciated the luxury bed linen and warm duvets. Beautiful scenery and a great walk up to the top of the mountain from the front door.
