Absolutely wonderful cottage, the view across the valley was amazing. The cottage itself was brilliant, clean, cosy and decorated beautifully. The kitchen has everything you need and I loved using the aga. The living area was warm and cosy with a lovely wood burner. Upstairs the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and well appointed.

simply outstanding and exceeded all our expectations in every aspect. We are both in 60s, both widowed and recently started a relationship. This was a wonderfully comfortable cottage in a stunning location with terrific views, yet close enough to Crickhowell for quick access to the excellent shops there - even a good bookshop. Generously provided, there are, for example, plenty of logs so that you don't have the common experience of driving around local garages searching for overpricedRead more fuel. There are walks from the door, a beautiful terrace if you're feeling lazy and much to explore further afield. We shall certainly return. Hide

Picture perfect cottage in an ideal location. Perfectly secluded, but close to good walks, places to eat and shops. Loved the log fire and we were left with a great stock to keep it going.

Very quaint well equipped cottage with superb views. Guests do need to be made aware of the steep narrow road and path to the property as a four wheeled drive vehicle would be needed in winter weather.

The second time we have stayed here and it won't be our last. After a 10 mile walk along the canal the aga, log fire & a glass of wine are the perfect way to end the day.

We are holiday cottage experts, have stayed in at least forty. The most important items for a comfortable week are a big comfy bed, good parking, hot water, big bath, convenient kitchen, a lovely view and good reading lamps. Rowan cottage has all but the reading lamps.

Fantastic views make the narrow uphill lanes to the cottage worthwhile. There is a cosy feel to the premises and it is well equipped with good WiFi. Exiting the property on the approach lane takes practise up the steep hill, unless you have a 4 X 4.

The cottage is just wonderful, set in a field surrounded by sheep and away from roads and other houses. It is well-equipped, warm and welcoming. The bedroom has a magnificent modern beamed roof.
