This Victorian spa town is a pleasure to visit with picturesque lake, 30 natural springs, pavilion and range of events, shops and eateries to enjoy alongside the National Cycle Museum and Radnorshire Museum, not forgetting its renowned golf club. Explore the spectacular dams and reservoirs of the Elan and Claerwen Valleys, visit the Red Kite Feeding Station at Gigrin Farm, head to the internationally renowned Hergest Croft Gardens, go book hunting in Hay-on-Wye or take the Old Mountain Road to Aberystwyth. Set in breath-taking countryside full of footpaths, cycle routes and bridleways to explore and enjoy walking, cycling, fishing, horse riding, wildlife watching, photography, arts, crafts, music and events. A perfect spot for two to unwind or seek adventure in Mid Wales.

Down the curved wooden boardwalk, sided by wildflowers and plants, you enter this cedar clad lodge and will be drawn to the stunning views through the bi-fold doors opening on to an inviting private deck .The spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is beautifully furnished with tables and beams made from locally grown Douglas Fir and Ash. Comfort is considered a priority with all the thoughtful little extras for year round comfort such as the underfloor heating and the cosy wood burner. The kitchen area is well-equipped with gas oven and hob, dishwasher and fridge. If you decide to have a romantic meal in, the table is perfectly positioned to embrace the fabulous view. Snuggle up and relax on the comfortable sofa watch the wildlife, choose a film, plan your activities for tomorrow or enjoy a good book. The sumptuous bedroom has a super-king-size hand crafted bed and a luxury en-suite shower with WC and soft towels. This special property is a truely romantic retreat.

Outside the garden is naturally designed with wild flowers, grassy mounds and is surrounded by rolling countryside and wildlife. The patio deck, with table and chairs, is the perfect spot to relax and unwind, enjoy alfresco dining or head to the private raised seating area by the fire pit to watch the wildlife or appreciate the dark skies stargazing. If you are keen on cycling or golf there is a secure bicycle store with wash down facilities, washing machine and drying facilities for wet boots and clothes. Private drive with off-road parking for one car. The lodge is set in two acres of grounds and maintains its own privacy, adjacent to the owners’ seven acre home and stables.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

SLEEPS: There is one bedroom with a super-king-size bed. Bed linen is provided for your stay. RELAXING: Electric and underfloor heating and Wi-Fi is included for your stay.

COOKING & DINING: There is a gas oven and hob, fridge and dishwasher.

KEEPING CLEAN: There is one en-suite shower room. Towels are provided for your stay as well as dressing gowns.

OUTSIDE: The outside space boasts a delightful decked area with seating, and a private fire pit perfect for night time cuddles beneath starry skies. There is also a private drive with off-road parking for one car, and bicycle storage along with wash-down facilities, drying facilities and a washing machine.

PETS: One dog is welcome at this property.

Great eco- lodge with wonderful views. Well designed, tasteful and super convenient ( except kitchen) Very Well equipped ( except kitchen) Amazingly comfortable mattress, great cosy sofa. Situated on a quiet hill above Llandrindod Wells, Skylark Lodge sits alongside another larger lodge but far enough away for privacy. Its perfect for a couple, with a large comfy sofa and huge comfy bed. Warm and cosy inside with a lovely verandah for fine days.

Beautiful lodge in a great location. Plenty of walks available, either starting from the door or from the lake just a few minutes down the road. Skylark Lodge was so nice that we really didnt mind staying indoors when the weather wasnt so great, and having access to Netflix was a pleasant surprise. We loved this cottage, absolutely stunningly done with views that are dreamy. Walks on your door step and food shops not to far to drive too. The only things we struggled with was that its a Eco living lodge which we were not made aware off, I am all for better ways off living but when we go on holiday we want that choice. Skylark Lodge. Well equipped, contemporary lodge with absolutely stunning views of of the surrounding fields and hills. Very private and peaceful and dog friendly. Lots of local walks and only a mile out of town at the top of the hill by the golf club. Lovely outside space via bi-fold doors with decking area, hammock and firepit.

Skylark Lodge was all we hoped it would be and more. It was warm, stylish and very welcoming. We really looked forward to returning to it after a day exploring the countryside. Despite inclement weather we enjoyed our stay at Skylark Lodge, a very well equipped, warm and comfortable home from home environment. The bed was especially comfortable. This is an ideal retreat for couples looking to get right away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Beautiful lodge in a stunning setting. The Lodge was very clean & well equipped, with a very comfortable bed. The location is lovely & secluded with views over fields towards the hills.
