A LUXURIOUS ROMANTIC HIDEAWAY PERFECT FOR HONEYMOONS IN THE HILLS

From the moment you step through the door you're struck by the attention to detail, exposed beams, 14th Century castellated archway and flagstone floors, yet still with a home away from home feel. It really is a stunning combination of ancient and modern luxury, complete with a castle wall.

In a fabulous location, on the edge of a small village there is heaps on offer, from walking and cycling from the door for all levels of fitness to gentle browsing in book lined Hay-on-Wye and nearby Brecon. A top location for nipping between nearby Brecon, with Cathedral and gateway to the serious hills and Crickhowell, with lovely independent stores and great access to the gentler Black Mountains. The Brecon and Monmouth Canal with pretty tow path runs nearby and there are also two significant rivers in the area, The River Wye, with fishing and canoeing available and the River Usk, famed for its fishing, with permits available locally.

The accommodation offers ONE bedroom: super-king-size with iPod dock and walk in wet room en-suite with bath, shower and WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: with woodburner (logs included), Smart TV, Blu-ray and french windows leading to the terrace and garden. Kitchen area, with electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge, freezer and coffee machine. Outside: enclosed garden, outdoor furniture and BBQ, access to acres of private woodland and parkland. Amenities: ample parking. Enjoy a massage in the Treatment Studio.  Bed linen, towels, dressing gowns, slippers, electric, under floor heating, central heating and Wi-Fi included. Bike store facilities available on site. Regret no smoking. 2 dogs welcome, more by arrangement. Location: pub within walking distance. Arrival: 4pm

 

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

SLEEPS 2 : Large super-king size bed, with en-suite bathroom, iPod dock and the softest of sheets and duvets.

BATHING: Fabulous en-suite bathroom, with bath tub and shower, large basin, loo, dressing gowns, slippers and soft and fluffy towels. Hairdryer available and luxury toileteries included.

RELAXING: Large sitting room with high ceilings, cosy sofas, wood burning stove, beautiful arched glass doors leading to the fully enclosed garden.

TECHY STUFF: Full central heating throughout, underfloor downstairs, Smart TV, Blu- Ray Player, Wi-Fi.

THE TREATMENT STUDIO: Brand new for 2018.  A dedicated Treatment Studio providing a wide range of restorative treatments to sample during your stay.  For more information, please contact the owner after booking.

COOKING & DINING: Large open plan kitchen with granite worktop, gas hob, electric oven, Nespresso machine, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, full size fridge and freezer. Dining table with Ercol dining chairs.

OUTSIDE: Private enclosed garden to rear of property with Kettler table and chairs, barbeque available.

PETS: Two well behaved dogs are very welcome here. Please call us if you would like to discuss further pets. Dogs are charged at £20 each for this property. No puppies under 12 months please.

An excellent location and top quality accommodation. Quiet and secluded. Our dog really enjoyed the squirrels. Lots of walks and good places to visit

Perfect break with our two dogs. Property is so clean and beautifully kept. Grounds were perfect for the dogs. Although there are other cottages on site , it felt so private. We didn't see anyone for the whole week. Will def be back

Location was perfect for walking places and driving . Cottage was cosy and amazing, we took food to cook and there was every utensil you could need. Little touch of Easter egg and card. Amazing if you have a dog, lovely garden enclosed for your dog. Lovely wildlife and walks around

The cottage was perfect in every way for us. The owners were warm and welcoming when we received the key. We had a lovely relaxed stay everything was spot on and the cottage was beautiful. Absolute perfection! Beautiful little cottage, tastefully decorated and everything you could wish for if you are looking for peace and relaxation. Very dog friendly. Wonderful walks in the countryside from the property and beyond. Highly recommend.

Excellent well equipped cottage which has been sympathetically converted from an old building to a very high standard. It also has it's own private garden.
