A warm, cosy and family friendly cottage, complete with ancient stone roof, thick traditional beams, oak floor and large wood burning stove. It is the perfect place to retreat to after a day out exploring the natural beauty of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
The area abounds with great little market towns and the inn is within walking distance from the ancient Tretower Castle. Enjoy exploring independent-minded Crickhowell, which is within easy reach for your morning paper. Hay on Wye, of international renown for its annual literary festival, has numerous book and antique shops. Brecon and Abergavenny have Michelin restaurants and fabulous food and jazz festivals respectively, and, there are certainly plenty of places to potter about and soak up the character of the area.
The more adventurous will enjoy day trips to the majestic waterfalls, walks along the mountain ridgelines, fishing on the River Usk, canoeing on the River Wye, or zippng across the fields at the local Adventure Training and watersports centre in Llangorse. A great local pub is within very easy reach too!
The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin. Playroom: with sofa bed sleeping one additional adult , TV, DVD and a selection of toys. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Separate WC on the ground floor. Lounge/diner: with woodburner, Smart TV and Blu-ray. Kitchen/diner: with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer and fridge.
Outside: enclosed courtyard with outdoor furniture and BBQ on request. Amenities: private parking for 1 car. Bed linen, towels, electrictricity, central heating and Wi-Fi available.
