Hidden gem of a place. The group I travel with love remote places where we can have a good late night chat and some drinks and music in the hot tub under the stars.... and it ticked those boxes perfectly. This cottage is amazing. We have a dog and so it was clean but also rustic enough that we felt at home. It is a very rural location and every journey involved a 15 Min drive along single track lanes to get in to major road. This is exactly what we wanted and loved the location. Storage isnt at a premium but this didnt bother us as its an old cottagRead moree and a sacrifice worth making. The views from the cottage were fabulous, as was the hot tub. Hide

Group of 7 adults had a fab time at Black Lake Cottage! Gorgeous cottage set in an absolutely stunning location - the balcony really let's you appreciate the scenery as the sun sets! House had all mod cons without losing the rustic feel, with comfortable beds and plenty of space for all in dining and living areas. Hot tub was lush!

The cottage was comfortable , it had beautiful views and was in an isolated position which we particularly enjoyed. The single track up to the cottage was tricky to negotiate in the dark and initially difficult to find so best to arrive in daylight..

This property is all about the location and it couldn't have been more perfect for us in this respect. We stayed in a very cold and windy February and were comfy and warm in the house, so excellent insulation. We loved the remote location and enjoyed exploring the mountains. The road, although narrow is well maintained and so long as you stick to iRead moret, you wont get stuck - we drive a BMW estate, so not very high off the ground. The outside is secure enough to let your dog off, under supervision. Hide
