This coastal village boasts pub, eateries, shop, golf club, children’s play area, miniature steam railway and even a water ferry from the beach to Barmouth Harbour. The perfect spot to relax on the beach, swim in the sea or climb a mountain. Ride the cycle paths, stroll through nature reserves and the Mawddach Trail, join the footpaths across Snowdonia National Park, climb Cadair Idris, walk to the Blue Lake, wander along the beaches by foot or on horse back. Visit King Arthurs Labyrinth, the craft centre, Portmeirion village, Harlech Castle or for adrenalin seekers there’s Coed y Brenin and Zip World Slate Caverns. With a range of events, activities, historic and coastal towns to discover there is always something to see and do.

As soon as you open the side door you will see how this stylish property is tastefully furnished, full of interesting artworks and all the thoughtful little extras to provide a special home from home experience. The kitchen/diner is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and all the equipment you need to prepare a meal for family and friends, gather around the table for a hearty breakfast and talk about the days’ activities ahead. The utility room has lots of space for your boots and coats, alongside the freezer and washing machine, and access to the bike store. In the heart of the bungalow is the beautiful lounge with comfortable sofas, cosy wood burner, TV and DVD, choose a film from the DVD library, open the patio doors to embrace the views, relax with friends or lose yourself in a good book. Head to the snug with TV, DVD, CD or test your skills on the Wii console or a board game of your choice. After a full day out retire to the lovely bedrooms, there are two double bedrooms both with en-suite shower and WC. On the other side of the bungalow you will find one twin bedroom and one super king-size bedroom (which will be made up as a double bed unless requested as a twin prior to arrival). These rooms share the spacious bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC, which is accessed via two steps.

Heading outside, at the back of the property the raised patio has table, chairs and charcoal BBQ and is perfect for alfresco dining. Walk down the steps from the patio to the large lawn, enjoy a ball game or just relax and embrace the mountain views. To the front of the property you can cross the quiet lane and walk up the grassy bank to the sandy beach and sea. There is private off-road parking for two cars at the property and additional parking available in the public car park 200 yards walk. Lockable bike store accessible from the house and garden to make life easy.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20 for up to 7 nights, £40 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20 for every week or part week thereafter.

Mochyn Glas is a comfortable, clean home that provides a great base for exploring the local area. Fairbourne itself is a relatively quiet town with a quirky ferry crossing you are in bustling Barmouth. Fairbourne offers a butcher, chippy, post office, local stores pub, Indian restaurant and small amusements arcade. We had a very enjoyable Christmas at Mochyn Glas. We loved the house and the location with good walks and scenery right from the door. The house was well equipped for preparing meals for a party of 8 and there was also equipment for a summer holiday.

This cottage was really lovely inside and right on the beach. Fairbourne is a very sleepy village and there isn't much to do there but lots of nice biking and walking from the door.

Peaceful, away from it all location. Right on the beautiful, long and sandy beach. Fairbourne itself is a bit run down, but if you just want somewhere away from the hassles of life, this is the place. House is spotless and well equipped.

A truly stunning location right next to the beach and a very well kept home that is obviously loved by the owners, it was a perfect holiday for our family with 2 young boys that loved the miniature steam train just a few minutes walk from the house, that takes you to neighbouring town Barmouth.

This house was in perfect setting for us. A few steps from the beach, lovely and quiet. Fairbourne is a sleepy little village, not much to it but has a nice feel. Great base for seeing the area. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a really lovely house, right near to the beach. There is lots of space, and it's well equipped. The garden is big with lots of lawn for dogs or children. The bedrooms are all a nice size and the 3 bathrooms are so useful when there are a few people staying. Much thought and care has been given to the needs of occupants as the bungalow has been superbly brought up to date. Its position practically on the beach, with a backdrop of the foothills of Cadair Idris, is unbeatable.
