Former millers cottage, full of period charm, set in two acres landscaped grounds with water gardens. Unique location to relax, enjoy activities and discover North Wales countryside, coast and culture.

Attractive 16th century stone cottage close to Bala with its cafes, pubs, shops, cinema, swimming pool and Wales’s largest natural lake. Enjoy boating, stroll around the lake or ride on the steam railway. For the more adventurous there’s the National White Water Centre, Zip World Slate Caverns at Blaenau Ffestiniog, Galn Y Gors Karting Park and the mountain bike trail centre at Coed y Brenin. Head to King Arthur’s Labyrinth or Harlech’s sandy beach, historic Castle, shops and cafes, not forgetting St David’s Golf Course. Being in Southern Snowdonia you can enjoy a plethora of footpaths and cycle routes, superb fishing, varied activities and events alongside the breath-taking scenery. There is something for everyone here.

The front door opens in to the cosy lounge with exposed beams, inglenook fireplace and wood burner encouraging you to relax on the sofa, read a good book or watch a film on TV. The dining room has a feature fireplace, interesting window, mezzanine floor and historic quirks reminiscent of its past with the table in the centre of the room, perfect to gather round for a meal or have a game of cards. The kitchen has all the equipment you need to prepare a meal with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and it also has washing machine. The shower room with flagstone floor has a shower and WC and as you head upstairs there is another compact shower room with shower and WC. The three spacious bedrooms, one double and two singles, all have feature fireplaces and garden views.

The enclosed walled entrance to the property is perfect to enjoy tea and cakes on the flagstone patio with bench or take a picnic over to the lawn by the pond. In the owners grounds you can see the old watermill house and wheel house as you relax and admire the well-stocked borders, creative planting, the pond, waterfalls and watercourse running from the old mill race.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Spotlessly clean. Central heating throughout. Great open fire wood burner. Two bathrooms. Very well equipped kitchen with everything you need. Much more spacious than it looks. A fabulous property

We loved the cottage which is ancient and full of character, well and sympathetically furnished, comfortable and relaxing. The owners could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Their garden is beautiful as is the adjoining Old Mill House, also available as holiday accommodation, and they were happy to show us around. Fantastic little cottage,cosy and warm great for families in an ideal location to explore Mid and North Wales. Gardens were lovely the owners were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back again!

A lovely cosy base from which to explore Wales. Bala is a couple of miles away and is a lovely little town. The cottage was like an adventure for our little boy who loved all the old decorations and ornaments and ate his meals up on the balcony of the dining room. The lady owner was really nice and showed us round the mill next door. All in all we Read morehad a great time. Hide

A beautiful cottage with a lovely 'feel' to it. Perfect for our family of four and the dog. The owners are on site and extremely helpful. The cottage is close enough to many attractions and beautiful beaches which we made the most of. We'd definitely go again.

We absolutely loved staying in the cottage, a beautiful historic building and wonderful garden. Lenka and Richard were very nice and welcoming. Bala is a brilliant spot to explore this fantastic part of Wales.

Beautifully cosy yet spacious cottage set in pretty gardens. Plenty of room for family with teenage children. Well equipped kitchen, two shower rooms and wifi. Very short drive into Bala. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you
