Beautifully appointed canalside cottage. Peaceful location. Perfect for walking the canal or, as we did, hiring a boat for the day! Immaculate cottage, warm, with comfy beds and exceptional bathroom. Outside picnic table and plenty of local eateries. Had an amazingly restful week and hope to go back next year. Thoroughly recommended.

A recently built semi-detached bungalow property which is decorated, furnished and equipped to a very high standard. Access is via a short narrow lane just off the main Abergavenny to Pontypool Road and parking is ample and convenient. The surrounding countryside is very attractive and the property is (as the name suggests) immediately adjacent to Read morethe Monmouth and Brecon canal which affords opportunities for pleasant walking, cycling or boating. I don't normally do reviews but I feel I owe this to the owners who were extremely helpful. I know it's a clich but I would like to say it was home from home, however I can only dream of my home being as nicely appointed, my husband is still suffering the nagging to sort out our bathroom. It's a beautiful cottage in a lovely setting with the canal Read morejust steps away. Easy to access, convenient location for exploring the local area. We are planning to return. Hide
