A delightful shepherds hut set in a secluded romantic hideaway location, one mile from Raglan village in Monmouthshire and a just a short drive from the Severn bridge.

A real gem, hiding away in the picturesque Monmouthshire countryside, nestled between the Black Mountains, on the eastern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding National Beauty. It is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and relax in the great Welsh outdoors.  With breath-taking views of Raglan Castle and the Black Mountains it is perfect for walking or visiting the market towns of Monmouth and Abergavenny.  The area is also steeped in history with some of Europe’s finest surviving castles, Abergavenny Castle set against the spectacular hills and Crickhowell Castle, a prominent feature within a small market town, or if you want more of an adventure try canoeing or kayaking on the River Wye. The area is also host to a vibrant events calendar to include Usk show and Abergavenny food festival.

Head inside the shepherds hut and you will find a living area with lounge/kitchen/dining and sleeping area with cosy underfloor heating and a wood burner to snuggle up in front of after a day exploring the area. The lounge area has comfy chairs where you can relax and listen to music on the DAB radio. The kitchen area has a gas hob, fridge, kettle and toaster, a welcome tea tray on arrival, and a continental breakfast for the first morning of your stay. In the evening snuggle up in the comfy double bed and look out at the stars. You will also find a shower room with shower and WC.

Heading outside you will find a fire pit perfect for alfresco dining and soak up the views enjoying breakfast at sunrise. There is allocated parking for one car.

SLEEPS: There is one bedroom with a double bed. Bed linen is provided for your stay.

RELAXING: Electric and underfloor heating and Wi-Fi is included for your stay.

COOKING & DINING: There is a gas hob, fridge, kettle, toaster and coffee machine.

KEEPING CLEAN: There is one shower room. Towels are provided for your stay.

OUTSIDE: Outside there is a fire pit and seating for an early morning coffee or dining alfresco. There is also allocated parking for one car.

The hut is cosy, well-equipped, spotlessly clean and situated in a quiet location. The log burning stove kept the hut toasty, as did the underfloor heating. Thankfully, there's no TV, but free WiFi is available and a really cute radio is provided.
