Peacefully tucked away within the rolling meadows of the surrounding countryside, this charming barn full of character will take you back in time, perfect for couples looking to escape. New to our collection in May 2017.

Enjoying a rural location on the fringes of the small community village of Mamhilad, perfect for lazy days enjoying the local waymarked paths that meander across the meadows and farmlands, and for breath-taking views take a trip into the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains. Enjoy the Wye Valley in the Autumn with its array of golds, and in springtime take in the blue bells and wild garlic in the Forest of Dean. A year-round events calendar will also keep you busy and eager to return with the Abergavenny Food Festival, Hay-on-Wye May festival and Brecon jazz to name but a few.

Take in the views across the meadows and step back in time into this beautiful barn, enter the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, offering a warm welcome with exposed beams and traditional furnishings. For a chilly evening why not light the wood burner and relax with a good book, catch up on your favourite TV programmes or watch a film on the DVD. And for a moments peace hideaway in the snug. The farmhouse kitchen is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher is just perfect for preparing a hearty supper, gather around the dining table and enjoy a glass of wine whilst catching up over a long day.  There is a utility room with wahing machine and tumble dryer thats a great place for wet coats and wellies. When the day is done follow the hallway to a super-king-size bedroom with garden views and bathroom with bath and WC. There is also a shower room with WC.

Outside, enjoy your morning coffee with stunning views in the private courtyard, with garden furniture and in the late summer evenings light the chiminea. There is allocated off-road parking for two cars.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

SLEEPS: There is one bedroom with a super-king-size bed. Ben linen is provided for your stay. Electric and central heating is included for your stay.

RELAXING: There is a wood burner (first basket of logs included). Wi-Fi is included for your stay.

COOKING & DINING: There is an electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.

KEEPING CLEAN: There is a bathroom with a bath and WC and shower room with a shower and WC. Towels are provided for your stay. There is a washer/dryer in the utility room for your use.

OUTSIDE: The outside space boasts a charming private courtyard, garden furniture, chimenea and BBQ for use during your stay. There is also allocated off-road parking for two cars.

PETS: Two dogs are welcome at this property.

What a fab place very cosy everything you could think of was in the cottage. We spent a week there 29th Dec 2017 to 5th Jan 2018 and we took our dogue de bordeaux the back garden was closed off so we felt safe leaving him roam around . Home made bread was left for us and home made jams and other bits left in the fridge . The log fire was a welcome Read moredue to the bad weather cold rain and high winds .. plenty of room in the cottage highly recommend a stay we would go back. . Hide

Wonderful find for a short or longer break. Very welcoming with generous welcome gift, friendly hosts and beautiful cottage in a peacful location. Despite being next to owner's family, still completely private. Extremely well equipped and well stocked, has everything you need for the duration of your stay. Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. The living areas are really spacious, while still feeling cosy for snuggling down in the evening. Having a bathroom and a shower room was a real bonus. Really excellent holiday!
