An attractive riverside retreat, yet close to the coast, perfect for the discerning visitor to the Pembrokeshire National Park. Feel immediately relaxed as you discover the delights of this hidden gem.

A delightfully located cottage in the beautiful Pembrokeshire village of Llawhaden. Set on the bank of the river, this is a truly idyllic location. As the name suggests, this property is next door to the local church and just a very short walk to the renowned Llawhaden Castle. Narberth is close by and has an eclectic mix of shops, galleries and restaurants. The coast is a little further with stunning beaches in Tenby and Saundersfoot. The village may be restful but is still close to all the major attractions such as Oakwood theme park and Blue Lagoon waterpark, both a short drive away. The local pubs and shops are about three miles away.

Enter the hallway where you can kick off your boots and hang up your coat. This leads you into the beautiful solid wood kitchen with range oven with gas hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, looking out over the enclosed garden and river beyond. The kitchen is open-plan, with a large dining area and French doors to the rear garden. The comfortable lounge has a fabulous, warming wood burner at the heart of the room. A selection of books, games, DVD's and CD's are available in the lounge, offering something for the whole family. There are two good sized bedrooms, a super-king-size double with a TV and views over the garden patio. The second, is a triple bunk bedroom, which can accommodate three guests and has a single over double bed, which is large enough for adults. From the kitchen there is a small hallway to the main family bathroom with a delightful roll-top bath, separate shower and WC. There is another separate WC. This thoughtfully laid out cottage is the perfect retreat to enjoy a holiday any time of the year.

Outside there is a wonderful riverside garden. The first half has garden furniture and gas BBQ, leading onto an enclosed lawn. This is fenced, with a gate leading through to a lower garden with lawn and bench that sits right on the river. Ideal for nature lovers or even those with their own kayak. To the fore of the cottage is parking for two cars.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20 for up to 7 nights, £40 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20 for every week or part week thereafter.

We had the warmest of welcomes to the cottage, lovely hampers to ease us in gently and a garden that our dog was right at home in from the moment we arrived. Some lovely dog walking right from the cottage door was a total bonus for me and quite a number of stretches where even my sheep-obsessed collie could be safely allowed to run free, at least iRead moren September. The cottage was lovely very comfortable with everything you could possibly need a real home from home.The welcome hampers were great and very much appreciated,Fiona was very friendly and helpful on hand if you needed anything. The location was great for easy access to get out and about to the lovely beaches and villages of Tenby,Saundersfoot,AmrothRead more,Wisemans Bridge to name a few.Our Border Collie Dottie enjoyed the garden which was great and we enjoyed sitting on the bench by the river. The cottage was amazing and super comfortable with outstanding utilities. A few days Home and I am still missing the super king size bed and the really comfy sofa. The perfect place to unwind after busy days on some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.

This is a fabulous cottage in an idyllically quiet location. With the river at the end of the garden and birds to watch on the feeder, it was a perfect getaway. The castle and church are well worth a visit, and we really liked our trip to Saundersfoot. Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings, couldn't have wished for more. Very cosy and comfortable, and extremely well equipped. Lovely garden which is nice and secure for dogs. A great base for exploring the Pembrokeshire coastline. We had a wonderful holiday and would love to return again.
