This contemporary single storey annexe offers spacious and secluded accommodation in a peaceful environment away from the crowds, yet within easy reach of many local attractions and amenities.

Set within a secluded and peaceful lane just outside of the village of West Grimstead, this contemporary annexe is attached to the owners home yet offers a good degree of privacy. It is ideally situated for taking in the local history, with sites such as Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, Avebury and Beaulieu all within easy reach. The New Forest National Park is a stone’s throw from the property and offers stunning scenery, ideal for walkers and cyclists. The nearby village of Alderbury offers a choice of local conveniences or for those seeking an afternoon of retail therapy, Salisbury, Southampton and Bournemouth are easily accessible by car.

From the gravelled parking area a small paved path leads you around the single storey annexe to the private entrance. The door opens into a welcoming hallway, where you will find a spacious king-size bedroom on one side of the hall and a shower room directly opposite with shower and WC. A contemporary kitchen is on offer, which is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Overlooking the garden is a comfortable lounge/diner with TV and DVD, perfect for relaxing after a long walk in the nearby forest.

Venturing outside you will find a patio with garden furniture and a BBQ, the ideal spot for relaxing while you overlook the owners’ delightful aviary. A lawn gives access to a paddock beyond, where you may spot a resident nightjar or buzzard and can enjoy exercising your dog off the lead, by arrangement with the owner. To the front of the property is a parking area, which will accommodate two cars.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

We had an enjoyable visit with our two dogs. They were well provisioned with an enclosed field and access to the garden too. The hosts are welcoming and helpful with good tips about places to visit in the local area and where to eat.

The annexe was very comfortable and well equipped and set in a lovely quiet location but yet close to the New Forest and Salisbury. Securely fenced gardens makes it an ideal place to relax for dog owners. Mr and Mrs White were very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

Convenient for the New Forest and Salisbury the Annexe was quiet, but not isolated as the owner lives next door. Lots to do and a great place to return to in the evening.

Lovely accommodation in a superb setting. Excellent for dog owners because the owners have a paddock which can be used to exercise your dog (this needs to be agreed with the owners) Our dog was in doggy heaven! She used to sit by the gate each day waiting to go in! Pip and Ian who own the annex are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. WeRead more will definitely return next year. We loved staying here. It was a perfect location for us. Very quite and off the beaten track. Was great to have the separate paddock to exercise the dog off lead. Cottage was well equipped with lots of little extras, robes, hairdryer and welcome pack to mention just a few.

What a fantastic place! If peace and quiet are your thing, or visiting interesting places, then this has the lot! Pip and Ian White are the perfect hosts, friendly, knowledgeable and very nice people indeed. I loved the cottage - a beautiful place - we had such a lovely time in such a beautiful setting. So peaceful and right off the beaten track. Just what was required. Ian and Pip were so very welcoming and were on hand if we needed anything. Loved it. The bed was comfortable which is a big deal for me as I have a back condition. Our dog loved it too!

A great cottage for a couple with a dog who want some quiet time,the owners are very accommodating and they leave you alone, unless you want anything. The rooms are all good sized and comfortable, the garden is a great size and well maintained,the TVs stations are limited as is the wifi but for dog owners the best thing is the dog friendly paddock-Read moreabsolutely brilliant Hide

Very well equipped cottage in a wonderful location - peaceful and relaxing; a generous welcome pack [tea, coffee, milk, fresh fruit and chocolate treats] with thoughtful store cupboard additions like olive oil, salt &pepper, sugar. Secure garden for our two dogs and a huge field where they could burn off energy - a lovely retreat!
