Forest Valley Haven
The Wye Valley is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) that straddles the England/Wales border. The River Wye snakes its way north from the River Severn, through the Forest of Dean to the region's only town, Ross-On-Wye.
Full of archaeological intrigue, King Offa's 8th century boundary that forms the border between England and Wales following the course of the river through the middle of the Wye Valley. There are walks, outdoor sports and lots of interesting restaurants to eat and drink in and around the area. Why not spend a day exploring Chepstow Castle, Tintern Abbey or the largest collection of book shops in the British Isles in the next valley at Hay-On-Wye.
