If you’re looking for a day by the seaside head to the East Yorkshire coastline with sandy beaches to explore, or head inland to the Yorkshire Wolds. Head South to the city of Hull and head to the aquarium, The Deep, or visit one of the museums explain the city’s history. For some retail therapy, head West to York, with plenty of shops and restaurants to try or take some time to visit York Minster, a Gothic cathedral with stained glass windows and Jorvik Museum. For those who like to explore on foot, there are plenty of walking opportunities nearby including the North York Moors.
