A lovely cottage in a lovely village handy for both the coast & the moors. The big bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable & the bathroom was beautifully equipped. The only downside was the need to mind your head while watching your step at almost every doorway!

We had a wonderful stay at Gateways. The location is perfect, the cottage is very well appointed and felt very luxurious. The wood burners give a cosy feel. Kitchen and bathroom are excellent, wifi is very good. Maps of the area are provided, which is great.

Gateways was a wonderful cottage right in the heart of Thornton le Dale. It was very well equiped to a high standard and everything worked and was very clean. I have scored lower on Comfort and Equipment because there was no shaver point in the bathroom and no adapter to use instead. Also the bathroom was very large with 2 sinks and a great shRead moreower, however the bath was incredibly narrow and uncomfortable to lie in, even though there was space to have installed a larger one.I would thoroughly recommend staying at Gateways. Really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage and look forward to returning again. The location and parking also very good. More lighting in the sitting room would be helpful as a bit dark in places when reading, also there are a few steps between rooms that people should be aware of.
