We stayed in the cottage for four nights at the end of September. We arrived on the Monday afternoon and were met by the Owner, Susan. We were greeted with a wonderful welcome hamper which contained some delicious treats and was a lovely touch. Susan helpfully told us everything we needed to know before leaving us to enjoy our new home for the weekRead more. Susan left her mobile number with us and although we didnt need to contact her we felt sure we would be able to reach her if needed. In any event the barn is in the grounds of the Owners own home. The location is perfect for exploring Nidderdale. We were never stuck for things to do and Susan had left lots of useful local attraction leaflets on the side. The log burner was a welcome feature to return to in the evening and we were left with plenty of logs to keep us going for the duration of our stay but you can always buy more if needed at the local shop in the village. The barn had everything we needed and there were lots of little touches which made our stay extra special! We would definitely recommend Slaters Barn to anyone wishing to explore this fabulous part of Yorkshire! Hide

Simply perfect for us. Slaters Barn was beautifully decorated and furnished. We could not ask for more. We felt at home straight away. We ventured out a lot to explore the delights of the Dales, but it was just as delightful to come back home to the barn and get snuggled up in front of the fire with a nice glass of wine. We enjoyed lovely breakfastRead mores sourced from the butchers next door too! Would highly recommend. Hide
