With far reaching countryside views over the picturesque Holme Valley, this charming cottage is ideally situated for those who love to explore the great outdoors and boasts an indoor heated swimming pool.

This charming cottage has the best of both worlds because it is situated on the borderlands of the Holme Valley and the Peak District National Park. This property has been converted to a high standard throughout, and enjoys stunning far reaching countryside views. With a large indoor swimming pool, this property has to be the top choice for those wanting to kick back and have a relaxing swim to soothe aching limbs. The cottage sleeps four people so it is perfect for a family or two couples. It’s also well equipped with a thoroughly modern kitchen and living room with woodburner (logs provided).

TV fans will be agog at the fact that the long running TV show ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ is filmed in and around Holmfirth – so you may be able to catch a glimpse of Seymour, Compo and Clegg getting up to their usual mischief. It’s a great place to recreate some of their famous strolls, too. Holmfirth has some great shops to get lost in too. You are well placed to take some of the extreme sports courses in the area. So look into caving, hang gliding, mountain biking and more. That’s if you can drag yourself away from the cottage's home comforts.

THRILLED WITH THIS COTTAGE. Spoke to the owner before our trip and he couldn't have been more welcoming. The detailed directions email was vital, as it's quite tricky to find. The outside appearance is deceptive, apparently just a small extension to garages, but once inside its lovely. You enter onto a landing with the living room/kitchen downstairRead mores. The dcor is modern, very comfortable and immaculately clean and the views are spectacular. But best of all was the indoor swimming-pool. Superb! Hide

We had a very good time here, from the lovely views to the access to the swimming pool this made for a very relaxing holiday. The cake on arrival was a lovely touch and there are many walks to go on round the area, but the walk down to the village is very pleasant. People we met were very nice and friendly.
